With a gallon of raw milk to get through I wanted to try my hand at making some cheese. After doing some googling and research I found a nice simple recipe that looked like it would work well. I poured a litre of milk into a heavy bottom saucepan and put it over low heat. [...]

Searching my cookbooks for something to do with the Raw Milk I got yesterday from MooJesus Dairy I stumbled across this dish in the Momofuku cookbook. I took a few liberties with it ( the Capt Crunch and the cornflake tuille are my additions ).

One thing that really annoys me about living in Austin is the lack of a really good butcher. Don’t get me wrong there’s a few good places to buy quality meat ( Central Market, Wholefoods, etc ) however their butchers are generally too busy running a long counter with lots of customers to talk meat. [...]

Just a quick note to mention that I’ve added an iPhone skin which should make browsing xesla.ro easy from an iPhone or similar device. Be handy for when at the supermarket and trying to remember what I need to buy for a particular recipe.

Flan is a super simple dessert with just a few ingredients and a great dessert. You can make individual flans or one big one like I did. There’s a bunch of different ways to end up with about the same thing, Flan ( Creme Caramel, etc ) seems to a ‘traditional’ dessert all over the [...]

This is a nice simple brownie recipe borrowed from Smitten Kitchen, achievable by almost any reasonably stocked pantry. Despite the fact that the only chocolate in the brownie is Cocoa it manages to remain nice and fudgy. Can serve as is, or like I did with some chocolate ganache sauce. 141 grams unsalted butter 280 [...]
